Soccer star becomes UK bingo fan.

Cristiano Ronaldo, soccer player for Manchester United, has turned into a UK bingo fan, it seems! After having received a DVD bingo game for Christmas, the soccer star was instantly hooked.

The handsome 22-year-old soccer player has also said it has done a great deal to help improve his English speaking skills. Bingo's fun and simple catch phrases have helped him to pick up English words and phrases.

A spokesman for Manchester United has said that while his teammates choose Nintendo Wii over bingo, bingo might be the better option. One of the biggest upsides to playing bingo is there is virtually no risk for the soccer players before upcoming matches. The slower pace of the game allows them to have fun while just relaxing.

The soccer star also commented on the excitement of the game to a Portuguese sports publication: "It can be very exciting because you can be there waiting for a long time for just the one number to make the game complete... Then you see one of your friends you are playing against get his lucky number before you."
