England's Luckiest Bingo Hall

Norwich Bingo Hall named the unofficial "luckiest bingo hall" in the country.

Bingo players at a Mecca Club in Norwich have called their bingo club the "luckiest" in the country, after four big jackpot winners won a combined £156,000 in one week.

The first incredible win was for £16,666 by a woman who won a full house in 44 calls. The next big winner came three days later, when a North Walsham woman won £20,000 after completing a full house in just 45 numbers. And the week's biggest winner came a day later, when a Norwich woman won £100,000 on the National Game with a full house in just 40 numbers!

The mother-of-two and grandmother-of-four was shocked and overjoyed at her enourmous windfall. And the last of the crazy winning spree came Sunday last, when a bingo player won £20,000 in 41 balls.

Mike Etherington, the bingo hall's general manager, said that "it was a fantastically lucky week." What a crazy sum of money! Especially since players buy their National Game tickets for a mere £5.50.

Or maybe it's the players that are lucky - Jean Randall, 63, was there when the lucky couple won £100,000. She said: "We call him jingle bells because he goes on the machines downstairs and comes running back with pockets jingling."
