Bingo just got more cuddly with the innovative new Ferret Bingo.
It's about time they put rodents and bingo together! And the smart kids who did so hail from a high school in Leeds. Wortley High School hosted its own Ferret Bingo tournament this week as part of a local festival, and it was a huge hit.
Basically, the new version of the classic game has a ferret placed in a large box with various ferret-sized numbered tunnels. Bets are then placed on the tunnel from which the animal will emerge.
Of the ferrets, they are said to be "very tame and very cute!" It's quite safe for the sometimes misunderstood long-bodied rodents, and in fact they quite enjoy playing amongst the numbered tubes.
Well, this leaves only one question - will ferrets eventually replace all bingo callers in the local bingo halls? At least nobody can plead favouritism, I hear ferrets are very fair and always play bingo by the rules!
