Bingo! You've Won A Turkey

Local bingo company gives out turkeys as top prizes for families in need.

It's that time of year folks, when the need for a prime turkey comes up for families. There are those who get them farm raised, those who buy them at the grocery, and those who have alternatives, like ham, and in today's age with an increasing number of vegetarians out there, Tofurkey.

Myself? I'm not one for all that traditional nonsense; I'd rather have a bit of fun and take a bit of a chance while trying to provide for my family. Each year I take my family down to the seaside bingo hall, and we try our luck at Turkey Bingo!

We go in, and the cards are cheap, only 25 pence. And there's a chance to win a DVD player as top prize! There's no better way to get the whole family involved than bingo, and last year my son won the top prize of a turkey! Froze it until Christmas, and then we cooked and basted it up and had a grand old time. The year before that, we won two, but we gave one to a charity. If you get a chance, go down and see if you can sweep one up for 25 pence instead of paying the big bucks at the deli! They just might be giving away a turkey at a bingo hall near you.
