Fundraising Fakenham woman raises the bar after seven years with a bingo fundraiser.
Sharon Moore, a receptionist from Fakenham, has been fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis research for seven years, and has brought in over £21,000. In light of her success, she has decided to raise her goal even higher, seeking to raise a remarkable £25,000 by the year 2010. To kick off her target, she has organized a Christmas Bingo event in North Elmham on Monday December 3rd, with a bunch of fabulous prizes to be won!
Sharon began raising funds after her 25-year-old cousin was diagnosed with CF. Since then she has been totally committed to raising money for Cystic Fibrosis. In July Sharon reached a big breakthrough in her fundraising as she received nearly £3,000 from a sponsored walkathon at Fakenham Racecourse. The walk was one of over fifty held across the country for a fundraising event known as Great Strides Campaign by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Sharon is an inspiration to her community, and has established quite a reputation in the Fakenham area for her money-making events. Says Sharon, "I have been very fortunate in the way that people have always supported my fundraising and I have always appreciated that."
