Smoking Ban Improves Bingo, Say Players

An overwhelming number of bingo players are in support of the bingo clubs smoking ban.

Smoking Ban Improves BingoAfter months of fears that the smoking ban would result in bingo halls closing down, new studies have shown that bingo players are actually quite pleased with the newly smoke-less atmosphere at their local bingo halls.

Most bingo players have found that the smoke-free bingo halls have actually enhanced their bingo playing environment. Strand bingo in Londonderry conducted a customer survey, and found that 87 percent of patrons said the change to non-smoking bingo halls was a positive one.

More and more bingo clubs have taken the creative road in keeping business going strong in the face of the smoking ban, such as offering guidance and information to those patrons wanting to quit smoking, or even advising players on how to get patches or gum to help them kick the habit.

Said proprietor Thomas Doherty in response to the survey, "we have worked really hard to make the transition as easy as possible for our patrons and we will continue to deliver a fantastic bingo experience."
